Yaniv Benhamou [chair of the interdisciplinary panel discussion on “legal and ethical challenges to sharing and using GLAM collections“] is Professor in digital law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and attorney-at-law in a Swiss-based law firm. He is author of several publications in the field of cultural heritage law, in particular author of the “WIPO report on copyright practices and challenges of museums“ and in charge of the report “Digitization of Museum Collections“. In addition to these legal activities, he is involved in cultural activities, in particular he founded lab-of-arts (Swiss volunteering lawyers for the arts), copyright course instructor for ICOM Switzerland and member of the Legal Affairs Committee for ICOM International.
