Uwazi is a web-based database platform developed by HURIDOCS that allows human rights defenders and the wider Commons to preserve, organize and analyze collections of information. At HURIDOCS, we design and build reusable open-source software tools that address common field-specific challenges because we believe technology can alleviate binding constraints on organizations’ ability to handle and organize information; free staff and volunteers from having to perform time-consuming tasks; support cooperation and powerful analysis; and address specific localization and security needs of persons and institutions.
