To move beyond early OER adopters, it is critical to conduct a sober assessment of the amount of instructor labor that is required to develop courses centered around OER. At Nevada State College, the library’s flagship textbook affordability program is an intensive six-week institute to support instructors as they convert their course from a paid textbook to an open educational resource. In this session we will share our experience working with instructors to adopt OER. We will also present faculty feedback on this process as well as student data showing improved success rates.
