The contribution provides an overview of recent OER activities in Austria (Europe), focussing on “Open Education Austria Advanced”, a current project of several Austrian universities in the field of digital innovation of teaching in higher education by developing a national infrastructure for OER. Aims of the project are the so-called OERhub offering access to OER from the Austrian higher education area, local institutional OER repositories and an OER certification including trainings, all in the context of supporting communities that practice open access to education in Austria.
