GLAM institutions seeking to share their collections have numerous barriers to overcome. These include the tremendous cost of digitization, a high learning curve when it comes to copyright education, existing licensing or partner agreements, or a hesitancy from within an organization for any number of reasons. However, there are deeper practical barriers, and in this workshop, we will explore these, before attempting to arrive at a list of resources that could aid GLAM institutions in their path to providing Open Access to their collections.
