Educators were among the first to adeptly transition to emergency remote platforms when COVID-19 arrived. By nurturing the relationships between and among course stakeholders, including the student-instructor, student-student and student-content dynamics, instructors can spark connections, engagement, equity, community nurturing, care, and collaboration. These relationships are improved through the support of open pedagogy and through nurturing a community of learners who experience and embrace openly available knowledge.
