‘Rich-club’ behavior describes the phenomenon where contributors with a high number of collaborations are likely to cooperate with other well-connected individuals. This phenomenon has been prevalent in academia for decades, and recent research shows a similar trend emerging in the open knowledge community. We would like to engage in the co-discovery and unpacking of barriers and continue to support and grow an inclusive international community of open knowledge advocates, developers, and stakeholders interested in understanding and mitigating the effects of the ‘rich-club’ phenomenon.
