Every act of online sharing potentially implicates privacy concerns. Some believe this is an inevitability—that forgoing personal privacy is necessary when sharing content online. But CC still imagines a world where sharing and privacy can coexist and believes that this coexistence is paramount to sustaining free and democratic societies. How do we get there? Is a new legal tool a viable approach? This session will explore this and other questions facing the open movement when it comes to fundamental rights to privacy.
